D. Bryan Teel, CFP®
Mr. Teel began his professional career in the real estate industry after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance & Real Estate from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a senior appraiser with the Gerald A. Teel Company, responsible for valuing numerous categories of investment grade property throughout the United States. During this time Mr. Teel earned inclusion as a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI).
In 1998, Bryan entered the financial services industry and in 2001, Bryan joined Mark Snelling, and founded Sweetwater Financial Advisors, LLC. Bryan has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional since 2004, having completed the course work through the Continuing Studies program at Rice University. Having more than 20 years’ experience in creating and implementing financial plans, Bryan enjoys helping others plan for, and achieve, their financial goals. A long time listener of the Dave Ramsey radio show, Bryan has helped teach Financial Peace University (FPU) at his church. Dave’s practical, yet important, financial advice is implemented throughout the financial planning and investment process at Sweetwater Financial Advisors, LLC.
Bryan resides in Sugar Land, Texas, with his wife Cassandra and their four children. Their family is very involved in their church, as well as other programs such as the FBCHA Basketball program, where Bryan serves on the Servant Leadership Team (SLT). He has been selected multiple times as a Five Star Wealth Manager in the State of Texas. Bryan enjoys mountain biking, playing basketball and tennis, as well as teaching at his church.
Mark Snelling
As an Investment Advisor with over 30 years of professional investing experience, Mark’s expertise spans a wide range of investing disciplines. After studying psychology at The University of Houston, Mark joined the investment firm Oppenheimer & Company in 1988. In 2001, Mark and business partner Bryan Teel founded Sweetwater Financial Advisors to enable them to cater to the financial needs of individuals, families and institutions through a truly independent and client-focused manner. Mark has a passion for seeing clients reach their long-term financial goals and helping them become financially independent.
Mark is responsible for researching, analyzing the best investment options to help clients achieve their long-term financial goals. As a member of the Sweetwater investment team he has managed client portfolios in excess of $200 million dollars through various kinds of economic and market environments.
Mark has been awarded The Five Star Wealth Manager award in successive years and been recognized as a top advisor within the investment management industry. He is the past two-term President of the Boerne high school Athletic Booster Club and serves on the advisory board of High Point Church.
Mark lives in Boerne, Texas, with his wife Jenny of 28 years and they have five wonderful children. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family, traveling, camping, hunting, spending time in the mountains of Colorado and serving in various capacities at his church.
Melody Pearson
Melody joined our Sweetwater family 14 years ago. She is originally from the Pacific Northwest and moved to Texas in 1998. She earned her love for people and people skills from spending most of her working career in the customer service field.
She manages the day to day needs of the office as well as oversees the needs of our clients.

Melody earned her Master’s Degree from Houston Graduate School of Theology. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as serving the Lord.
